Nora Tabbush began her vocal studies at the Conservatorio Nacional Superior de Música in Buenos Aires, where she was born. Several years later she graduated from the Centre de Musique Ancienne of the Conservatoire de musique in Geneva. She pursued her studies further in both opera and chamber music with Marta Blanco, Doris Andrews and Anatoli Goussev, and in baroque music with Mark Tucker and Roberta Invernizzi.
In 2011 she won the First Prize in Vocal Music from il Conservatorio di Santa Cecilia in Rome. Her career has been developed above all in Switzerland, France, Belgium, and Italy, where she
In Opera and Oratorio her repertoire includes the roles of Dido and Belinda in Dido and Aeneas, The Fairy Queen and Dioclesian by Purcell, Cherubino in Mozart’s The Marriage of Figaro,
Livietta in Livietta and Tracollo by Pergolesi, the title role in Charpentier’s Medee, Iole in Hercules by Handel, Filia in Carissimi’s Jephthe, Pergolesi Stabat Mater, Vivaldi Gloria, Bach Magnificat, as well as several programmes with Cantatas BWV 198, 209, 211, 249 by the same composer, various Monteverdi madrigals, Italian cantatas, operas and oratorios from 17th and 18th centuries, Spanish and Latin-American baroque music, as well as Lieder of Mozart, Haydn, and Schumann, among others.
In 2000 she was chosen for l’Académie Baroque d’Ambronay to perform Monteverdi Vespers, under the direction of Gabriel Garrido, touring in France and Switzerland. She has been invited
to perform as a soloist for various ensembles: Ensemble Elyma (Switzerland), Opéra Obliqua (Switzerland), Geneva Opera Studio(Switzerland), Cappella Ducale Venetia (Italy), CIMA di Roma (Italy), Canto Rubino (Belgium), Ensemble Mare Nostrum (Italy).
She also sang in the chorus of l’Opéra de Lausanne, where she sang La Sonnambula (V. Bellini), L’Orfeo (C. Monteverdi), La Clemenza di Tito (W.A.Mozart), Leonore (L. Van Beethoven), Idomeneo (W.A.Mozart), Così fan tutte (W.A.Mozart), The Rake’s Progress (I. Stravinsky), L’Elisir d’amore (G. Donizetti), and with the Schweizer Kammerchor of the Zurich Tonhalle.
She has notably performed as a soloist in the Festivals of Saint-Michel en Thiérache, Beaune, Périgueux, Ambronay (France) ; Utrecht, Amsterdam, Zwolle, (Holland), Sajazarra (Spain), Asolo (Italy), Izmir (Turkey), Lancut (Poland) ; at the Teatro Colón in Buenos Aires, the Grand Théâtre in Geneva, l’Arsenal in Metz, the Teatro de Vigo, and the Auditorium Parco della Musica in Rome, among others.
