Tenor Sébastien Romignon Ercolini was born in Brussels to a family of French and Italian descent.
His academic training was pursued at Music Conservatory in the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg, jointly with business education in Belgium. His first prizes were obtained in the class of baritone Louis Landuyt (First prize, Higher Award and recipient of the Christian Join Prize in 2006.
Sébastien Romignon Ercolini is giving regular recitals in Belgium and France in a wide repertoire (french songs, Lied, Italian songs,…) and is frequently accompanied at the piano by Jean-Pierre Moemaers, Yoann Héreau, Mary Olivon and Paul Montag
Sébastien Romignon Ercolini has sung at the BOZAR (Palais des Beaux-Arts) in Brussels, the Wallonia Opera (ORW – Liège), the theater of Mons, the Ghent Opera, the Bijloke concert house at Ghent, the Festival de Beloeil, the Music festival of Enghien, The Trets (Aix-en-Provence) festival, the PBA-Eden (palais des Beaux-Arts) in Charleroi, the Opera of Luxembourg, on the main stages in Holland (Amersfoort, Amsterdam, Den Haag,…), at the Wiener Festspiele, etc.
The tenor has sung under the baton of conductors such as Peter van Heyghen (Les Muffatti), David Miller, Geert Soenen, Cyril Englebert, Robert janssens, Philippe Gérard, Etienne Rappe, Xavier Haag, Eric Delson, Michel Van Den Bossche, Michel Méaux, Ivo Meinen, Cristian Orosanu, Dejan Savic, Ivan Paric, Massimo Donadello,… and in staging by Laurence Dale, Daniel Donies, Jacques Taylès, Jacques Legrand, Corine et Gilles Benizio (Shirley et Dino), Stefano Giuliani et Isabelle Kabatu, Edmond Lhote, Yann Dacosta, Hervé Fabre, Thomas Delord, Karel Drgac…
In 2005, the tenor sang in the production of Opern Zirkus, a production commemorating the official inauguration of the Opera of Luxembourg, in a staging by Andreas Hillebrand.
In 2006, he gave his first recital of French and Italian melodies and operatic arias at the Trets Festival (Aix-en-Provence), accompagnied at the piano by Philippe Beaujot.
In 2007, the tenor was a guest performer at the Théâtre Royal du Parc in Brussels were he sang during the gala commemorating the 80th. Anniversary of the Belgian Artists’ Union, with pianist Jean-Pierre Moemaers.
Since summer season 2008, he is a regular guest soloist of the Ommegang, a leading celebration commemorating the history and the roots of the cultural heritage of the city of Brussels, featuring about 1400 participants staged by Giles Daoust. He also recorded musical creations by Ernst W.Meinrath which are included in the program of his annual concerts on Brussels’s Grand Place.
In 2010, Sébastien Romignon Ercolini was the tenor soloist at the year-end concert gala which took place at the Gent Opera, singing arias and duets from the Viennese repertoire (F.Lehar, J.Strauss, R.Stolz,etc.) under the baton of Geert Soenen.
In 2011, he made his official debut at the Opera Royal de Wallonie in the role of Armand de Clerval in Thérèse by J.Massenet with David Miller conducting, in a production staged by Daniel Donies.
In 2011 and 2012, the tenor sang Pâris in J.Offenbach’s La belle Hélène touring in Belgium (Brussels, Tournai) and France (Paris, Roubaix) with Philippe Gérard conducting.
In 2013, the tenor sang Roland in J.Offenbach’s Les Bavards in Paris (Théâtre de Neuilly) and Achille in J.Offenbach’s La belle Hélène at Royal Opera of Wallonia (Liège) conducted by Cyrli Englebert and staged by Corinnes and Gilles Benizio (Shirley and Dino).

In May 2013, recording session at Passavant Label, melodies by Charles-Marie Widor on Victor Hugo’s poemes accompagnied by the pianist Paul Montag. Issue in septembre 2013.
In June 2013, performing some unreleased songs by composer Armande de Polignac accompagnied by the pianist Mary Olivon, together with soprano Sabine Revault d’Allonnes et baritone L’Oiseleur des Longchamps.
In July 2013, recording session at Passavant Label of previously unreleased songs by Armande de Polignac. Issue in septembre 2013.
In July 2013, he sings Conte Almaviva in G.Rossini’s Barbiere di Siviglia in Vienna’s Festspiele (Opernair) conducted by Ivan Parik and staged by Karel Drgac.
In december 2013, he is invited to sing a recital of french melodies at Festival de Montreuil-sur-Mer (France) under the artistic direction of the tenor Laurence Dale.
In the Opera season 2014, Sébastien Romignon Ercolini will make his debut as Belmonte in W.A.Mozart’s Die Entfürung aus dem Serail at Royal Opera of Wallonia (Liège).
